Oentoeng Suria & Partners (OSP) was established in 2010 and is focused on providing legal services at the highest global standards to our clients.
OSP is associated with global law firm Ashurst and is a continuation of the long standing presence in Indonesia of Ashurst’s Australian practice (formerly Blake Dawson) which was previously through Soebagjo Jatim Djarot (SJD). OSP is already one of Indonesia’s main commercial law firms thanks to the legacy of the SJD-Ashurst relationship. Our deep understanding of the Indonesian legal, commercial and cultural environment allows us to offer technical and practical advice to help our clients to achieve their objectives in Indonesia. We also provide our Indonesian clients with advice and assistance on their trade and investment activities overseas, including in Australia. OSP can draw on Ashurst’s Australia-based technical resources and professional expertise at any time.
OSP’s partners are prominent in Indonesian business and academic circles, as well as Asia Pacific business and legal associations. They are regularly involved in law reform programs and other government legal committees including recent projects to draft new laws on commodity futures regulation, commercial arbitration, shipping regulation and amendments to Indonesia’s companies and foreign investment laws. All lawyers at OSP are fluent in English as well as Indonesian.
